What is the easiest way to terminate a card?
You have two options to terminate your card.
- The easiest way is by agreement to terminate the obligation in fourteen days from the date of signing the agreement.
Call the Client Line or visit a branch. Our banker will assist you with all the steps to terminate the card.
- The other option is to serve a notice. The notice period is one month from the date of delivery to the bank.
We recommend using the form posted on our website and sending it via internet or mobile banking. You can also draft the notice of termination without the form as a regular letter and send it by mail to: Raiffeisenbank a.s., Karetní správa, Třída Kosmonautů 1082/29, 779 00 Olomouc.
The card is cancelled only after the notice period has expired. Your financial obligations to us survive the termination of the contract. Read your statements every month. The last statement will show a zero balance. Use internet (not mobile) banking to view the statements. On the Cards tab, select the Blocked and cancelled filter and press Statements in the card detail.
Why can't I see my terminated credit card on my mobile phone?
Once the contract expires, the card is no longer displayed under active cards in mobile banking. Follow these steps to make it accessible:
- In the app, tap Menu. Next, proceed to the Settings gearwheel icon.
- In the Display section, open Main page settings.
- Under Display options, select Blocked credit cards and turn on Show blocked cards. Save your changes.
In internet banking, you can find discontinued products under the Blocked and cancelled filter. The filter is available on the Cards tab in the top right corner.
Why did I receive a reminder for card repayment even if I had terminated the card?
Whether you terminate the card by agreement, where the obligation is terminated within 14 days from the date of signing the agreement, or by standard notice, it is necessary to check and settle all the obligations. The settlement does not take place immediately and it is necessary to comply with the given terms, upon the expiration of which the obligation is terminated.
- If you fail to settle the receivables on time and in full (by the time the obligation is terminated), we will proceed with collection and charge you the collection fee and interest.
You will continue to receive card account statements.
There are two ways to access the statements of a terminated card:
- Internet banking
In the Statements section in the card detail, use the Blocked and cancelled filter.
- Mobile banking
Open Menu and proceed to Settings. In Main page settings, click Display options. Here, turn on Blocked credit cards. Then, the statements are shown in the Detail tab, in the Statements section.
Check the statements regularly even after the full amount owed has been settled. You may be additionally charged insurance fees or interest.
- Once the debt has been fully settled,
we will send you a confirmation of the settled liability and issue a final statement showing a zero balance. We will not send any more statements. We will send any overpayment to the CZK current account you have provided.
