Yes, the products of Equa bank and Raiffeisenbank merge on 14 November 2022, letting you benefit from the best of the two banks. Account maintenance and withdrawals from ATMs in Czechia and abroad will be still free of charge. The terms and conditions of all your saving accounts, loans and credits remain unchanged as well.

As of 14 November 2022, the Raiffeisenbank client line at 412 440 000 will be newly available to you in addition to the Equa bank Client Centre during extended operating hours: 7 AM - 10 PM every day.

We will transfer all your accounts to Raiffeisenbank. However, your current payment card will be linked to your CZK account only. Once transferred to Raiffeisenbank, you can easily apply in the banking application for a free payment card to any of your accounts maintained in a different currency. Or, as a more convenient alternative, you can use our “MultiCurrency”. Your account can be maintained in up to 19 currencies under one account number and one payment card. Money withdrawn or paid using the card will be automatically debited against the particular currency folder depending on the currency of the payment. Using additional currencies under one account is subject to a monthly fee of 29 CZK for each additional currency folder. Detailed information will be provided in our communications regarding the transfer.We will transfer all your accounts to Raiffeisenbank. However, the existing payment card will be linked to your CZK account. After the transfer, you can apply for a free payment card for each additional account in a different currency or use a multi-currency account. We will give you detailed information in our communications regarding the transfer.

At Equa bank, payment orders are valid for 1 day only. The transaction is cancelled if the account shows insufficient funds and you fail to provide additional funds before the end of the term for processing the transaction. At Raiffeisenbank, outgoing payments are by default valid on the date when placed and for 2 additional business days (clients may change the term to more business days in internet banking and mobile banking). The client may provide additional funds to realize the transaction within this term. Direct debit requests remain valid for 5 calendar days. The term cannot be changed by the client as it is a system parameter. The system cancels the payment due to insufficient funds only after expiration of the above term.

You will continue to withdraw from ATMs in the Czech Republic and abroad for FREE. Nothing changes for you.

As in other banks in the Czech Republic and the EU, all client deposits in Equa bank and Raiffeisenbank are insured up to 100% of the deposit, however up to a maximum of 100,000 EUR per depositor and bank or credit union. Thus, as of 1 January 2022, the client's total deposits held with the two banks are insured as if they were held with one bank, for the maximum amount of 100,000 EUR in total.
