- Raiffeisenbank ATMs are fitted with a security module which protects clients’ payment cards against possible copying of the information contained on them, a process known as skimming. You are informed of the presence of this module directly on the ATM display, in order that it is clear that the equipment has been installed by the bank

Tips when using ATMs
When using an ATM comply with the basic safety rules in order to avoid the risk of your payment card being misused and your money being disposed of by an unauthorised party

- Be especially cautious if someone wants to help you use an ATM
- Do not allow anyone to interrupt you at the ATM.
- No bank employee will ever request that you divulge your PIN or enter your PIN while they are looking on. If anyone makes such a request, fraud is always involve
Using an ATM safely: the ten commandments
- Choose an ATM which you know. If you do not know one, we recommend using an ATM in a place which is well lit and safe
- It is best not to withdraw cash if there are people in the vicinity who look suspicious
- Ask people standing in a queue to maintain a sufficient distance, so that they cannot observe what instructions, numbers or amounts you enter into the ATM
- When entering your PIN cover the keyboard with you other hand
- Follow the instruction on the display, do not enter your PIN unless the ATM requests you to.
- If you feel that the ATM is not working correctly, cancel the transaction and wait for your card to be ejected. Report the fact to the bank.
- If your card is retained by the ATM, gets jammed in the machine, or if you are attacked while collecting cash, inform the bank of this fact immediately.
- Never use force when entering your card into the slot
- Regularly check your card statement and keep your cash withdrawal limits at a level which corresponds to your requirements.
- Do not hurry during transactions. Calmly place your cash and card in your wallet or purse before leaving the ATM.
