Notional Cash Pooling is effective tool for optimization of interest expanses and incomes.
All the accounts linked to the system do not bear interest rates. The bank opens Master account (technical account) where all the balances are notionally concentrated. The group interest is then calculated from consolidated balance of all linked accounts. The group interest is capitalized monthly and can by credited/debited in favor of/from one selected account or re-distributed among individual accounts.
Compared to Physical Cash Pooling the same effect of interest optimization can be achieved without necessity to perform physical transfers.
As the debit balances are fully or partly covered by credit balances the bank offers possibility to set internal interest rate defining cost of internal financing.
