Foreign payments

Raiffeisenbank processes incoming and outgoing foreign payments in foreign currencies and in the Czech Crowns (CZK). This includes payments in foreign currencies to another banks in the Czech Republic and processing of checks for collection.

Complete and valid payment order as well as sufficient funds on the client's account are mandatory conditions for processing of submitted payment order.

Currencies

Raiffeisenbank enables foreign payment transfers in a range of currencies that are published on the Currency rates list.

Deadlines for the foreign payments processing

Raiffeisenbank processes incoming and outgoing payments within the deadlines specified in the Business Terms and Conditions.

Incoming foreign payments received within processing deadlines are credited to the client's account on the same day.

Special types of foreign payments

Europayments

All outgoing and incoming Europayments are charged with preferential transaction fees.

Only payment that meets following conditions is considered to be Europayment: payment up to EUR 50 000 in EUR currency within EEA countries that is not SEPA payment, with a valid and properly entered bank identification code (BIC), the account number of the beneficiary must be in IBAN format, with a SHA fee type and without any special requirements for payment's processing.

SEPA payments

SEPA payment is a payment in EUR currency within SEPA Credit Transfer member banks with valid and properly entered bank identification code (BIC), the account number of the beneficiary must be in IBAN format, with a SHA fee type and without any special requirements for payment's processing. SEPA payments are available for selected types of accounts.

 

Raiffeisenbank offers reductions on foreign payments for selected types of accounts

Payments within the Raiffeisen Group

Payments in EUR currency within the Raiffeisen Group banks transferred between accounts held in EUR currency are processed under preferential conditions that are described in the Raiffeisenbank Price list.

Incoming payments in CZK currency from Tatra banka a.s. (Slovakia)

All incoming payments from the Slovak Tatra banka a.s. in CZK currency are credited to Raiffeisenbank clients without a transaction fee.

Outgoing payments in EUR currency to Tatra banka a.s. (Slovakia)

Reduced transaction fee is applied for all outgoing payments in EUR currency sent to the accounts held in Slovak Tatra banka a.s.
Beneficiary of such a payment is charged by Tatra banka a.s. only with fee per item and should not be charged with any other fees.

How can I submit foreign payment order in Raiffeisenbank?

Foreign payment orders can be submitted:

  • electronically or
  • in person at all branches  

Complete and valid payment order as well as sufficient funds on the client's account are mandatory conditions for processing of submitted payment order.

It is necessary to specify the beneficiary bank's BIC and the beneficiary's account number in the IBAN format in all Europayments and SEPA payments. Additional fee for manual repair of the missing mandatory information (e.g. missing beneficiary bank's BIC) may be charged.

Instructions for incoming payments

To avoid returns of expected incoming foreign payments please provide your business partner with correct details of your account. It is necessary to use only IBAN format of your account number.

Types of charges

Type of charges indicates who will cover charges applied by all banks involved in a foreign payment transfer.

 SHA

Payer covers fees applied by her/his own bank, beneficiary covers fees applied by beneficiary bank and other correspondent banks (if applicable)

OUR

 

BEN

Beneficiary covers fees applied by all banks that participated in a payment transfer (i.e. payer's bank, possible correspondents banks and beneficiary's bank)

Payments sent within EEA countries can be submitted only with SHA type of charges or OUR type of charges (when there is a payment conversion involved).

Europayments and SEPA payments can be submitted only with SHA type of charges. Payer's bank charges are deducted from payer's account apart from the payment. Beneficiary should receive whole originally submitted amount without deductions, beneficiary's bank should deduct its fees (if applicable) apart from the payment.
